Product Description

Buckeye polypropylene sediment filters include three to four layers of varying density.  Filter life is extended because larger particles are captured in outer layers, and smaller particles are captured in inner layers.  These filters yield longer service life than standard poly sediment filters.

Alternate Part No.: H05123 (20" x 4.5")

I use the 1 micron and a .5 micron and they are great.

  2. Does its job 5 Star Review

This sediment filter is the perfect combination of protection from debris, and replacement frequency. A smaller micron rating will remove more particulate, but we'll have to be changed much more frequently. Additionally, the way the filter is manufactured allows for a larger time periods between change-out. For reference, this filter has lasted 10 months making top off water and weekly 5 gallon water change water for a 65 gallon aquarium.
