Buckeye Fluoride Removal Cartridges utilize a fine white granular media to reduce fluoride levels. Drinking water with fluoride levels above 2 mg/L (ppm) can lead to mottling of the teeth. Ongoing levels above 4 mg/L can result in serious health problems. Rinse the cartridge thoroughly to remove color and fines on first use. Calculated capacities and flow rates shown below are for reference only. Various chemical and physical conditions can alter these estimates. Filter cartridges should be changed every six to twelve months or when acceptable treatment ceases, whichever occurs first. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
