Aquatec’s original product, and still the “global standard” in booster pump technology, the 8800 provides reliable inlet pressure for efficient reverse osmosis membrane performance. These pumps are capable of continuous duty and are effective for recirculation based applications as well. Designed for RO systems up to 150 gpd. Adjustable pressure output. Improves membrane rejection rate. Has 1/4” or 3/8” quick connect fittings. Made in the USA. Requires transformer. For maximum pump life, place pump after a sediment filter or strainer (see below).
Best used with a liquid-filled pressure gauge. For automated operation, we recommend use of a high pressure switch or a low pressure switch; and 1/4" shut off solenoid valve or 3/8" shut off solenoid valve (depending upon the diameter of the tube feeding the RO system), rather than a common four-ported hydraulic shut off valve.
Please review the graphic below for two recommended configurations. The first is controlled by a high pressure switch - meaning that when the pressure sensed by the switch is high, the switch turns the electrical circuit off. The second configuration is controlled by a low pressure switch which turns the circuit off when it senses low water pressure.
