Product Description

These heavy duty gray PVC bulkheads are ideal for difficult to reach locations or critical situations where a cracked/leaking bulkhead would be particularly troublesome. Buckeye offers these American Made PVC bulkheads, sometimes referred to as Tank Adapters, or "Schedule 80 Bulkheads," in two configurations and 1", 1.5", and 2" sizes. Install the bulkheads with the flange and EPDM gasket on the wet side, and the nut on the dry side of the tank wall. Flange ports (i.e., wet side ports) are slip (glue/cement) or female threads (FNPT) ports. Nut side ports (i.e., dry side) are threaded.  PVC pipes fit the slip ports perfectly and can be cemented with widely available PVC cleaners/cements. Appropriate tank hole sizes are shown below.

Bulkhead Size Recommended
Hole Size
1" 1-7/8"
1.5" 2-9/16"
2" 3-3/16"

Our bulkhead descriptions list the “wet side” (flange side) first, and the “dry side” (nut side) second. For example, a 1" slip x thread bulkhead would have a slip joint for 1" PVC on the wet side, and 1” female pipe threads on the nut side.
