Product Description

Aqua Ultraviolet’s proven UV Sterilizers have long been used by public aquariums, importers and hobbyists alike to control bacteria, viruses, protozoa and parasites, reducing the spread of disease. In a confined environment like an aquarium UV and filtration are essential. Aqua Ultraviolet UV’s will clear your water in 3 to 5 days - sometimes overnight - and keep it that way! Performance is guaranteed when sized, installed and operated according to Aqua UV's instructions.

The Classic Series UV’s are ideal for ponds, aquariums, and water features. The Classic’s rugged design has features that allow for quick installation and easy maintenance.  All 200 Watt Classic UV units include five lamps powered by a NEMA transformer, and have a 2" inlet and outlet.

For freshwater ponds and aquariums where a sterilizer  for crystal clear water and bacterial control is desired, the 200 watt unit is recommended for water volumes of 8,500 to 13,000 gallons.  The recommended flow is 6,600 gallons per hour.

For freshwater ponds where a clarifier  is desired to produce clear water with a natural appearance, the 200 watt unit is recommended for water volumes up to 20,000 gallons.  The recommended flow through the unit is 10,000 gallons per hour.

For marine reef aquariums, or marine aquariums tanks with live rock (so called fish-only-with-live-rock, or FOWLR tanks), the 200 watt unit is a good choice for water volumes up to 1,500 gallons.  The recommended flow through the unit is 4,400 to 6,600 gallons per hour.

For marine fish tanks without coral or live rock, choose the 200 watt unit for water volumes up to 1,500 gallons with a recommended flow of 2,200 to 2,640 gallons per hour.
